Philosophy. What do I believe as a product designer?
PATTERNS EVERYWHERE
Some times the world seems chaotic, but if one digs deep enough, there're always patterns in how things function. The principle of the world is no different than the principle of user experience.
There's no reason to overwhelm users just because the task is complex. The more data we are inclined to dump on the page, the more important it is to prioritize.
SOLVE REAL PROBLEMS
There are enough problems standing between users and happy life. We shouldn't force the concept of a new problem onto people just because we want to sell them the solution.
The first step of doing ethical design is to validate the problems we are solving. Are they real?
DEVIL IN THE DETAILS
I always admire the spirit of Japanese craftsmanship. Focus. Commit to it. Strive for the highest quality. Keep innovating.
There's always something new to learn. Never get arrogant.
